Hello there. Welcome to my art site. I hope you enjoy it and that you call back regularly. I’ll be adding new paintings to the gallery as the present ones are sold, and regularly updating all the info about exhibitions, special commissions --- and news about what all my pals are up to on the links page. Well, I’m a self taught, full time artist living in Ireland. Great isn’t it? There’s beautiful Slieve Bawn mountain at my door, the tranquil Shannon ten minutes down the lane and roses and honeysuckle in the front garden. Click Commissions and you’ll see what I mean. I could wax lyrical for hours .. but I won't! Suffice to say, it’s a long way from Manchester in the north of England where I was born and spent my youth.

As a young fella I went through various jobs the way some people go through chocolates. Then I qualified as a teacher and taught for almost twenty years also in the Manchester area. In the early 80’s, along with my wife Alicia, I ran a craft business here in Ireland, and then we ran a stately home in the English Midlands for 8 years.

In the early 90’s we returned to Ireland, and that’s when I began painting. Well, lets face it I’ve done the 9 to 5 routine, bought the tee shirt and all that. Now I’m doing my own thing…and loving every minute of it! Fact is I’d paint even if nobody ever liked what I produced; but because so many people do like my work, and want to buy, or commission, paintings from me, I’ve set up this web site.

Now, that’s enough about me. You’re here to enjoy the galleries but before you do can I just add one little point? It’s usual in sites like this to invite a response from visitors, and this I’m delighted to do. More to the point .. I’ll be delirious if any of you respond. You see, I ACTUALLY MEAN IT!! Feedback is the oxygen which keeps us artists going.

(I’m not always here, and in any case it gives me time to wash, shave, tidy up and put the cat out!)
