Townley Hall
Not only did I end up exhibiting and demonstrating in one of the marquees… I also ended up conducting workshops in another marquee…..at the same time!! Does anyone know where I can buy a good ‘ Bi-Location Kit’ before next year?

Workshops catered for both adults and children and one of the great things was that until each workshop started I had no idea which I would be dealing with, in what proportions… or even what experience any of them might have had previously..

Anyway I started to explain what I wanted, quite .clearly as I thought…but not clearly enough for the young lady in the red tee shirt. I can’t recall the exact point at issue.. but needless to say after making her point.. and following further clarifications from myself..( after all I was supposed to be the tutor!)… she simply did exactly what she wanted. There’s some innocent young fella out there who has no idea what lies ahead of him!!

A couple of times, when I looked up during the workshops, ( and I did 5 of them,) there were as many people standing watching beyond the barriers as there were taking part. But then if I didn’t enjoy playing to the gallery I wouldn’t be in this game in the first place …. would I?

Incidentally the girl in the red tee shirt ,who assured me she had never used acrylics before, finished 2 beautiful pieces in the 90 minute session.

Thanks to Ann for inviting me, and to Colman and Martin for taking pictures.
